Johnson to present at 9<sup>th<\/sup> Symposium for Optical Interconnect in Datacenters&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NLM Photonics\u2019 Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder, Dr. Lewis E. Johnson, will present at the prestigious European Conference on Communications (ECOC) in Glasgow, Scotland, in October. His talk will focus on recent advances in hybrid organic electro-optic (EO) modulation, highlighting NLM\u2019s recent advances and key international collaborations in Europe.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lewis will give his invited talk on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecocexhibition.com\/visit\/whats-on\/9th-international-symposium-for-optical-interconnect-in-data-centres\/programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">\u201cTransatlantic Partnerships for Hybrid Electro-Optic Modulation\u201d on Tuesday, October 3<\/a>, at ECOC. He will be available for questions and other inquiries before and after his talk.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hybrid organic EO modulators allow for lower power and improved bandwidth in communications (datacom, telecom, and satellite), sensing (electric field, LIDAR, and microwave\/mmWave signal processing), and hybrid electronic-photonic digital computing. NLM\u2019s success has been interwoven with developing global partnerships with other photonics companies, chip foundries, and other parties interested in emerging technologies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Related work from our collaborations will be featured in two other presentations. Adrian Schwarzenberger of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology will present \u201cFirst Demonstration of a Silicon-Organic Hybrid (SOH) Modulator Based on a Long-Term-Stable Crosslinked Electro-Optic Material,\u201d which uses our HLD material and includes our team members, Lewis, Director of Process Development Dr. Scott Hammond, Director of Materials Development Dr. Delwin L. Elder, and Senior Research Scientist Dr. Kevin O\u2019Malley, as co-authors on the paper.
